Cory Furlong is a liberty trainer, performer, and educator based in Bozeman, Montana. Known for her deep connection with horses and her engaging teaching style, Cory has dedicated her career to helping horses and humans understand one another without force, fear, or frustration.
Cory’s approach to horsemanship is based in what she calls the “liberty mentality”, a mindset that emphasizes mutual trust, curiosity and true partnership. She has spent the last 14 years developing this mentality and bringing it to all aspects of horsemanship, building a reputation for clear communication, creative expression and compassionate leadership.
She founded RCR Horsemanship (Russell Corner Ranch) as a space where horses and humans can grow together in confidence and connection. Whether she’s training a young horse, performing for a crowd or teaching students, Cory brings patience, precision and a lot of joy to every interaction.
